The Galloping Cascade Falls - Libo, Guizhou

The 68 layers cascade falls at Xiaoqigong scenic spots is another fascinating sight of Libo's wild Karst landscape. It lies at the 1.6km long narrow river valley of Xiangshui-he (响水河) along the upper stream of Hanbi Pond. It is a rare scene. Due to the irregular levels of the river bed formed by the uplifted plateau, huge groups of water when rushing down from higher points become disorderly compressed into layers and laminated tiers, creating a wonderful marvel in nature. The variant sight of its 68 levels of waterfalls and dropping water along the two meters long river in various shapes and sizes are amazing.

Laya Waterfalls stands just by the road side near Xiangshui River..

The 10 meters wide Laya Falls when dropping from a height of 30 meters to the ground gives out a thundering roar that stimulated one's nerves.

Laya Waterfalls appear like a broad silky belt drawing down from the heavenly sky.

The source of River Xiangshui-he is originated from underground springs. The warmness of water that maintained throughout four seasons provides a heavenly home to Chinese Salamander (Andrias Davidianus) which is the most precious and largest amphibian on earth. Salamander is commonly known as Wawayu means Doll Fish as its voice sound like the crying of an infant. These protected species of China appear only in night.
