As introduced, The thriving sight of Wolong Dam (卧龙潭)was caused by the underground water of Wolong River that originates in the pond. Water rushes down over the power generated dams, as if heavy rains in a fogging condition with shocking sound.
Wolong Pond nested in a mountain of undulating ranges 600 km above the ground level is embraced in a wood of greenery with odd trees and rocks.
It was said when the dam is over flooded, the rushing water is like a roaring mighty dragon.
The Chinese choose to believe that the torrent falls and the rumbling sound of Wolong Dam are caused by the surging dragon under the water.
It is a true thriving vitality.
The name of Wolong Dam derived from its literal meaning (crouching dragon) as the Chinese takes it as a cavern of a dragon, beneath the ground.
The dam always remains as still as it is, never be disturbed even flooding exploded
