Qing Dao City named as Jiao-ao (胶澳) in the past, was originally a fishing village. It was turned into a defending guard against northern intruders by China Government in 1891. In 1897 November when two German priests were killed at town, Germany Government under the pretext, military controlled the place for nearly 18 years. Japan invaded into the city during 1st world war in 1914, replaced Germany and occupied the city for 8 years. China re-possessed it back in year 1922. Due to all these past sectors, Qing Dao isn't Chinese. Its foreign atmosphere, westernized circumstantial feeling, beautiful natural environment, comfortable weather attracted large scale migration of world traders, literary scholars, authority officials, influencing people of fame and wealth in early 20th century. People from all directions in different races in all walks of life nourished its culture and economy, prosperous its industries in all areas. Qing Dao rapidly developed into a very different modern city of China. It is one of the two cities that does not have bicycles on the streets (the other one is Hunan Zhong Qing (湖南重庆).
Isle Badaguan Avenue (八大关) known as Eight Great Passes was named after China's famous passes. It is the most fascinating part of Qing Dao. The avenue located with more than 200 villas in entire different design and style of various European Countries, Japan and Russia. The extravagant and extraordinary marble and wood built structure with red roofing tiles and yellow wall appears as if a German castle at the hillside, was the residence of the former German Chief Commander.
Most of the villas at the residential quarter, were built on the hill slope during German's occupant in 19th century, in western construction model.

Places of distinctive feature in Qing Dao at southern part covered an area of 25km x 3km including Isle Badaguan Avenue, Hui Quan Bay, Pacific Bay, several coastal sites and a number of small hills.
Xiao Yu Shan 小鱼山 is a small hillside where you can enjoy great view of Qing Dao's beautiful scenery. The tall building facing Yellow sea is China official hotel Diao Yu Bin Guan 钓鱼台宾馆 which is a grand accommodation reception to all VIP honored guests of Chinese State or Central Government.
Since 19th century, the non-Chinese city in China, Qingdao had become the love of many foreigners. No freezing point in winter, no heat wave in summer, embraced by beautiful places like Hui Quan Bay Beach. It is an heavenly resort city.
The competition venue of Beijing 2008 Olympic water spot - yachting in Pacific Bay, has become new attraction of tourists while they visit The May Four Square. Olympic yachting symbol is a new landmark at Pacific Bay. The unit cost of those nearby and along the coastal area modern residential houses becomes sky high, hardly below million dollars but they fetch very high rental returns. Units are fully booked and occupied year round. To watch Olympic yachting game became an added value to the property that holds a great position.

The red landmark at the Square was the memorial symbol of the hostile demonstration against foreign office on May 4th 1918 as a protest against the granting of 21 demands made by Japan.
Cruising is one of the options to enjoy and view the beauty of Qingdao.
Zhan Pier 线桥 built in 19th century was an earliest dock in Qing Dao. It was extended from coastal line direct into sea, connecting the busiest Chung Son commercial street at the other end, forming a straight line from land to sea. Night scene was amazing when lights are on at Zhan Pier. The Pentagon Pavilion Hui Lan 回澜阁 at Zhan Pier is also an attraction.
Some of its sky high modern buildings.
The grand reception hotel of Chinese VIP honored guests, Diao Yu Bin Guan (钓鱼台宾馆), stands just at the Pacific Bay. While the other side of the bay stands the little white light house and Satellite Tower.
Admire the Euro architectural buildings on land while boating.
