A Little Angel Land of Taoism - Yantai

Little Peng Lai at a small hill-lock in Yantai was a small hidden paradise out of the polluted Industrial area in Yantai. Lying by the side of Bo Sea Gulf 勃海湾, circled by wide area of old trees and plants, it is an energetic place for cultivation of spiritual mind.

The pathway ascending up to the temple site.

The Archway

Stayed in this tradition simple cottage, gazed into the sea from this little cute pavilion , listen to the tide from far end, a comfortable retreat environment to nurture calmness and mindfulness.

The temple worship Supreme Deity of Taoism Yu Huang Da Ti 玉皇大帝, burning an incense, write your wish and request onto the red material and hang onto tree branches in front of the shrine was the tradition way to fulfill a hope and deliver a blessing.

The red cloth carried with many people's wishes were hanged at every corners within the site.

Huge area of plum farm fully blossom at the side of highway. Plum flowers are white with little aromatic smell. It would be a great harvest in the coming summer!

There are quite a number of fruit farms along the highway from Yantai to Peng Lai Ge 蓬莱阁. The imposing castle structure is a winery which occupies wide acres of vineyard producing many species grapes for its wines.

Many passing by passengers were attracted by these little cherry stalls selling different kinds and sizes of cherries at a price between rmb 20 -50/kilo.
