The highest point of Huangshan where the meteorological Observatory and Television Cable Station located, is known as Brightness Summit Apex. It measures 1860 meters in height.
To reach the point of Apex, we need hours to climb breathlessly on the long flight of its steep stone steps from the cable station. We just could not imagine how tough a porter lead his life. Every single day, they carried with them more than 100kg of goods by just using a long bamboo pole balancing over the shoulders or backs, and walked up thousand of steep stone steps way that had taken away our breath. Stocks and resources of hotels and restaurants on the mountain are replenished through the human services of these porters. We just hope that they receive a good returns of their hard labor from the high prices we paid.
Every one was short of breath when ascending from the cable station, climbing up thousands of stone steps in the freezing air but the tough porters who loaded on their shoulders with at least 100 kg of cargo, started walking up from the foot of the mountain. Chinese labor lead an extremely hard life.
While stop and take a breath, admire the nature marvel around.
