The Majestic Valley of Laoniuwan

Bay of Laoniu-wan lies at the border of Shanxi and Inner Mongolia at north west of China, is the place where the flow of Yellow River instead of heading straight, makes a turn of 180 degree, weaving round those jutting out unique terrains before going south to Shanxi. It is also a site where The Great Wall built in Ming Dynasty, curling on the cliff parallel along with Yellow River.

Laoniu-wan has an interesting legend relating to Yellow River. It was believed that the mother river of China was ploughed out by a sacred old ox sending down from heaven to channel the flooding water that gave great sufferings to people and took away many human's lives and properties.

Panoramic view of a serene Laoniu-wan.

The stretch of land at this part features as if a head of an ox and most probably that was how the name Laoniu-wan came from as literally Laoniu-wan means An Old Ox Bay

The flow of Yellow River unexpectedly has a 180 degree turning and loops to north west at Laoniu-wan.

The tranquil Yellow River is circled up by majestic landscapes.

The incredible view of Laoniu-wan landscapes which has long been considered as one of the most attractive valley in the whole nation of China.

Stated there on huge rock three bright red Chinese characters "The Soul of Huanghe"

The Old Ox Bay is a vista that was "Created by the sky and formed from the earth" as per description engraved on a beautiful unique rock displayed at the site.

View points at place where new development for tourism began.

New structure of an energetic vibrant marble ox, said to be symbols for prosperity and productivity, which we think must be of  touristic purposes only.

Its time for the sun to go home.

Watching the sun dropping to the other part of the world in Laoniu-wan.

Final hour for the sun of a day!

At this moment, high up the sky in Laoniu-wan, the moon and stars took over the role!

The radiance of Laoniu-wan was gradually fading in a dim light

Yellow River was coiling round rocky terrains and ridges in a form of a long silver belt in Laoniu-wan at night.
